Where 77 sits on the compression scale

Compression measures how much a ball deforms at impact. Match it to your driver speed and the ball returns the energy you put into it; miss the range and you either leave distance behind or lose the soft feel you paid for. The full golf ball compression chart ranks every ball we track, and the golf ball finder narrows it to your own speed.
Who the Titleist AVX suits
Low-spin, low-launch alternative to Pro V1 — designed for golfers who already hit the ball too high. Titleist publishes no compression figure; MyGolfSpy Ball Lab measured the 2024 AVX at 77, which is the figure charted here and was already correct before this chart started labelling its sources.
