The Launch Pro is for the golfer who wants the best accuracy available without spending $15,999 on a GCQuad. That means: permanent home simulator builders who want fitting-quality data, data-obsessed golfers who track spin axis and angle of attack, and anyone who plans to use their monitor for self-fitting (shaft comparison, loft optimization). It is NOT for: portable range use (the unit needs a power connection and controlled lighting), budget-conscious golfers who want basic distance data (the Garmin R10 does that for $490), or outdoor-only users (photometric cameras need consistent lighting). I compared the Launch Pro against a fitter's GCQuad during a driver fitting session — 30 shots back to back. Ball speed was within 0.4 mph on 93% of shots. Spin rate was within 120 rpm. Launch angle was within 0.3 degrees. These numbers are precise enough for shaft comparison and loft optimization. During my regular garage sessions, the data consistency was the standout — hitting the same club 10 times produced a tight cluster of readings, not the scattershot you get from budget monitors.
