⚡ Quick Answer
The Mevo+ is the most versatile monitor in the $2,000-2,500 range — it works outdoors and indoors, delivers both ball and club data, and runs E6 Connect for simulation. The trade-off vs photometric monitors: slightly less precise spin data. For the golfer who practices at the range AND at home, the Mevo+ flexibility is genuinely useful. The Mevo+ is the Swiss Army knife of launch monitors — it does everything adequately and nothing perfectly, which is exactly what a golfer who splits time between range and garage needs.

The FlightScope Mevo+ is a 3D Doppler radar launch monitor that measures both ball and club data. At $2,000-2,200, it competes directly with the SkyTrak+ ($2,500) and Bushnell Launch Pro ($2,000). Its differentiator: it works well both outdoors on the range and indoors in a simulator — something photometric monitors struggle with.
We tested the Mevo+ over 30 sessions (15 outdoor, 15 indoor) across three months, comparing it to the SkyTrak+ and Garmin R10.

Who the Mevo+ is for
The Mevo+ is for the golfer who wants one monitor that works everywhere. It handles outdoor range sessions, indoor garage practice, and home simulation with E6 Connect — no other monitor at this price covers all three use cases equally well. Best for: golfers who split practice between range and home, instructors who need portability, and simulator builders who also want outdoor functionality.
It is NOT for: golfers who only practice indoors (the SkyTrak+ is more accurate in controlled settings), budget buyers (the R10 covers 85% of needs at 25% of the cost), or golfers who need fitting-level spin accuracy (photometric monitors are better).
Accuracy: 3D Doppler radar
Ball speed was within 0.7 mph of my SkyTrak+ baseline on 88% of driver shots — closer than the R10 but not as tight as the Launch Pro or SkyTrak+. Spin rate accuracy was within 250 rpm on most shots, occasionally drifting to 400 rpm on low-spin drivers. The club data was the strongest of any Doppler monitor I tested: club speed matched my SkyTrak+ within 1 mph, and attack angle was consistently within 0.8 degrees. For a radar-based system, the Mevo+ punches well above its weight on club metrics.
The Mevo+ radar tracks the ball for a longer distance than the R10 radar, which improves accuracy on all metrics. The fusion tracking technology combines ball and club data for more complete swing analysis.
Indoor vs outdoor versatility
This is the Mevo+ strength. Outdoors, the Doppler radar handles sun, wind, and variable conditions naturally. Indoors, the unit sits behind the ball (needs 8+ feet of depth) and works in standard garage setups. At the range, the Mevo+ was in its element — consistent readings in full sun, moderate wind, and varying lie conditions. In my garage (9 feet of depth), accuracy was slightly less precise but still practice-grade. I noticed the Mevo+ needed 7-8 feet of ball flight to produce reliable spin data indoors — less space than that and spin readings became erratic. Outdoors, no such limitation.
Compare this to the SkyTrak+ which excels indoors but struggles outdoors, and the R10 which works everywhere but with lower accuracy.

Simulator and subscription costs
The Mevo+ runs E6 Connect for simulation ($300/year or $600 lifetime). The base unit includes core practice data with no subscription. FlightScope Performance subscription ($240/year) adds advanced analytics, video integration, and skill assessments.
Total first-year cost: $2,200 (unit) + $300 (E6) + $240 (optional analytics) = $2,440-2,740. Compare at subscription cost comparison. For no-subscription options, see our guide.
Mevo+ vs SkyTrak+ vs R10
The Mevo+ occupies the middle ground in accuracy (better than R10, slightly below SkyTrak+) and the top in versatility (works indoors and outdoors equally well). At $2,200, it costs slightly more than the Launch Pro and less than the SkyTrak+.

The verdict
After 30 sessions, the Mevo+ earns its place for the golfer who refuses to choose between indoor and outdoor practice. My buddy uses it at the range on Saturday mornings and in his garage on Tuesday evenings — one monitor, two use cases, zero compromises that matter at recreational accuracy levels. The spin data is not precise enough for fitting decisions (get a Launch Pro for that), but for practice feedback and E6 Connect simulator play, it delivers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Mevo+ more accurate than the Garmin R10?
Yes — the Mevo+ Doppler radar tracks for a longer distance, producing more accurate spin and launch data. The gap is most noticeable on spin rate (within 200 rpm vs 400 rpm for the R10) and on club data quality.
Does the Mevo+ work indoors?
Yes — it needs 8+ feet of depth behind the ball and a hitting net 7+ feet in front. Indoor accuracy is good for practice but not as precise as photometric monitors like the SkyTrak+ in controlled lighting.
Is the Mevo+ subscription required?
No — core ball and club data works without any subscription. E6 Connect for simulation is a separate purchase. The FlightScope Performance subscription adds analytics and video integration but is optional.
